Story Behind The Song
The band tends to go to and perform at burlesque shows, often drinking in parks before or after. So many of the shows out in Oakland, CA really evoke a Weimar Berlin aesthetic. We'd had these lyrics floating around for a while when one day Boylamayka and Sizzle started screwing around with their favorite practice riff. While they were in full jam mode Emchy grabbed the orphaned words and the song was made.
Song Description
A fast and energetic tour through the underground burlesque and americana screne of friends in Oakland having a night on the town. The song follows our heroes through their park-drinking warm up and into the Weimar Cabaret where everyone is covered in glitter and beer. The fiddle solos make this song stand out as something that really gets your blood pumping.
