Story Behind The Song
In the early morning hours of the Vietnamese lunar New Near celebrations in 1968 (31.01.1968) the North Vietnamese forces (Vietcong) began what is now widely know as the ?TET Offensive" in many parts of the country, including Saigon. This was a turning point in the conflict, as public opinion in America turned against the war. It would not end until 1975.
