Story Behind The Song
This song is the third song written by Red Eye Flight and one of our favorites. It incorporates riffs we have been working on for years as musicians, and the first piece of work that we were 100% satisfied with.
Song Description
Lyric Translation:
Verse 1:
For the record I've lost more than I've won.
(That feeling of being defeated)
Spinning Wildly
(being torn in different directions)
Stop going slow, forward to progress, we yield because we know the process.
(That voice inside you that tells you to keep pushing on, and the other voice saying we have been through this before)
Not for nothing
(Hoping the decisions made were worth it)
Chorus:
Reaching for
Another mountain climbed to go back down in stride
(Finally reaching that high point in your life to be drug down back to reality, but wanting that feeling again)
A trail that seems to end a new path to begin.
(When that part of your life ends and you have a new life journey)
Verse 2:
Black or white, there is no in between.
(Everyone tries to tell you about the silver lining of a situation)
We must prevail, say no to protest, the boiling point will lead to regress.
(Trying to build yourself up and not give in to bad habits, knowing if you let it build up inside you, it will bring you down)
Bridge:
How could I not see, all this time in front of me.
(Why didn't I make the right choices when I had a chance to)
Pointed throughout the path, the path laid out before me
(Signs of opportunities, and choices in life that would have been part of your destiny if you have acted upon it.)
Its Laid out for me
(Maybe I don't have these choices)

Lyrics
For the record, I've lost more than I've won.
Spinning wildly.
Stop going slow, forward to progress, we yield because we know the process.
Not for nothing.
Reaching for.
Another mountain climbed to go back down in stride.
Reaching for.
A trail that seems to end, a new path to begin.
Reaching for.
Black or white, there is no in between.
Storm is coming.
We must prevail, say no to protest, to boiling point will lead to regress.
Not for nothing.
Reaching for.
Another mountain climbed to go back down in stride.
Reaching for.
A trail that seems to end, a new path to begin.
Reaching for.
How could I not see, all this time in front of me.
Pointed throughout the path, the path laid out before me, It's laid out for me.
Reaching for.
Another mountain climbed to go back down in stride.
Reaching for.
A trail that seems to end, a new path to begin.
Reaching for.
