Story Behind The Song

The hero of an action adventure novel (written by me) sings this song to the girl he loves. In the book, the lovers are beset with tragedy, but find time to fall in love despite the tumultuous circumstances. The song expresses his desire to escape with her to a better place.

Song Description

A vocal and keyboard driven ballad utilizing lead and backup vocals, keyboards, bass and drums. The production includes horn and string sounds, complimented by a Hammond C-3 organ. There is a brief piano intro as well as two short jazz piano breaks. The chorus is built upon a unique cord sequence.
