Lyrics

I'm going back, going back again my friend
Back to Afghanistan
You see these orphans only get one meal a day.
The widows try to help, but they fade away
They fade away, They fade away

When you look into these children's eyes
It breaks your heart, sears your mind
It's where they go to waste away
They waste away, They waste away

Now that I've been baptized, I'm no longer one of those guys
I'm not the soldier I used to be
For me this is a one way trip
I've got some plans for a garden yet
and maybe a drinking well or two.

I need someone and you know the way
This war is hell, such a hellish place
The widows try but they fade away
They fade away

Wow. Intense, mysterious, interesting instrumentation. I like the intensity of the music arrangement, as well as the intensity, of the lyrics. The low sound of the drums, adds to the overall feeling. It certainly grabbed my interest. The lyrics, are also ominous, and heartbreaking. Also... good production/mix. Love the instrumentation. I could see this used for a documentary, movie, or TV drama, on the war. I look forward to hearing more of your music,

Is not a country song.

Love the feel. Well arranged and well played. Like the vocal melody. The lyric is shocking, which is good.

Very dark and cool recording

I know that one!

Instrumentation is very unique and intriguing
