Lyrics

Illinois, my Illinois
your Muddy Waters your king of soul
Illinois, my Illinois
God made you beautiful, He made you bold

Your freight trains take me to the city
That's where I sing my songs
Your freight trains take me to the city
But your big river takes me home

Illinois I love you Illinois
even in the wintertime when it's so cold
Illinois, my Illinois
Your Muddy Waters your rock and roll

Your freight trains take me to the city
That's where I sing my songs
Your freight trains take me to the city
But your big river takes me home
Takes me home

Takes me home, my Illinois, takes me home, my Illinois, takes me home, My Illinois, takes me home, My Illinois, takes me home, It's time to rock and roll, it's time to rock and roll

Takes me home......repeat

good heavy guitar and drums and bass, good arrangement and great mix

Great energy and power in this track. I can feel the strength of the great instrumentation. Guitar playing is particularly stellar.

great song and excellent musicians...very well mixed...killer guitar...this could be a hit on radio

The 3rd hook towards the end (not the very end but just before the very end) where he says take me home was the best part of the track The intro, verses and chorus need some work.

Awesome work guys! I love the style of playing and the vocals. Should sell as an independent tune without any trouble!

Here's a song about the great state of Illinois. Should be popular with residents of that state. Nice instrumentation, excellent lyrics. Soaring electric guitar. Someone played a really hot lead there at the end. I like the place where the instrumentation backed off. Ending is kind of sci-fi and fun sounding.
