Story Behind The Song
One would find this the most obvious song about my breakup, but in fact, I had written this song years earlier (not about anyone in particular). Just your generic "I hate you now" bittersweet love song, but there was never anyone in my sights when I wrote
Song Description
bit of a departure, musically - going for a more loung-ey DJ feel. The organ is the N5, and BFoot adds a touch of Prince-like guitar to the proceedings, plus a sweet solo (wish he'd do more of that). A ridiculous amount of drum loops going on in this one

Lyrics
I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW
Why fight the battle
When you know the truth?
The bad guys usually win
This isn't a movie
This isn't a game
This is where I've been
And I hope you're happy now
I really do
And I'm not saying that to make myself feel better
I'm finding it so hard to hide
These complicated suicides
When you know they're always watching you
From the corners of their eyes
And I hope you're happy now
I really do
And I'm not saying that to make myself feel better
I'm looking in the mirror
Now the broken glass is everywhere
And I don't think about you anymore
There's no reflection
I'd shuffle off to Buffalo
If I only had directions
My bags are packed
The chips are stacked against me
But I'm already gone
And I hope you're happy now
So good for you
And I'm not saying that to make myself feel better
