Story Behind The Song

It began as an assignment to write a song for a horror flik. We couldn't agree with the producer on the direction he wanted to go, and took it back. The underlying theme would not let me go so I talked Steve into letting me put a new lyric over his driving rhythm track.

Song Description

The singer is urging a friend to look at her life of abuse and take it back from her abuser. "You can do this, don't be afraid..." This is an anthem--a rallying cry--for women at risk.
