Lyrics

Your Womb, My Tomb

I hear muffled voices
Discussing my fate
While living, growing
Sounds of life
Echoing around my crib of flesh
My heart I feel beating
With the excitement of new life
My very presence
A gift to behold
Beheld in warmth of you, dear mother

Mother, my protector
The hope of your love
Is my soul armor of life
Or is this internal cradle
So exquisitely adorned
A target of disgust, of hatred or what?

Dear mother
We are so close and divinely connected
Yet, I feel in my heart
Your blood has turned cold
I have become no longer your precious baby
A victim, not a gift
My shelter of hope
My place of refuge
Will soon become my tomb
Dying in the arms of your womb
Hearing muffled voices.
