Lyrics
The other night in the field of dreams - I was having one of those psychic scenes with the guy with the scythe and the snowy whit horse.
He was all bones and coldness - and I must have felt some boldness - when I asked him if he was death and he said "Of Course"
Well I woke up with a start - that almost stopped my heart - and he walked right through my wall with his scythe held high. I thought I might cheat death - if I could just take a breath - as he stood waiting with his scythe held high.
I did my best to crack a smile and asked him if he could wait a while and picked up my guitar and began to play. - and to my surprise - right before my eyes - he bagan to dance in the wierdest way. And he sang:-
Chorus: You've got to say it as you see it - there's no need to fear the reaper - Just say it a you see it - don't fear that midnight creaper - and he turned his back - there was a thunder crack and he said " Don't worry 'cos you know I'm gonna be Back" - yeah he turned his back - there was a thunder crack - and he said "Don't worry 'cos you know I'm gonna be Back"
I was alone in my room - I had death dancing to my tune - shaking his bones all over my bedroom floor. I thought I might avoid disaster - if I played just a littlke bit faster - but the black robed bastard just yelled out for more. and he sang:-
Chorus - and repeat chorus
