Song Description

I wrote this piece originally as an instrumental waltz, and Cusenbary thought it would be nice to put some lyrics to it...and blew me away! He capitalized on the French characteristics of the piece, and finally made this a completed piece.

Memories of, a tortured time
When peace was not. in our minds

We can?t take back, the change of war
But freedom?s worth, fighting for
Lament, won?t change, what we knew then
We will heal, and begin again

We could mourn the deepest loss
Is our freedom worth any cost?
Too tired to say, what we feel
Only our hunger makes this day real
