Story Behind The Song
The old lady's ( Daisy Eden Abercombie Odell) house was torn down, leaving a large brushy vacant lot, next door to my abode. Two neighborhood girl-pals (now with children)
were busy collecting something. I was sitting on my porch pickin and singin and asked them what they were gathering,
and was informed of the ladybugs and their many uses.
