Song Description

An emerging new baseball song hopefully destined for ballpark fame all over the country!

Story Behind the Song

WBAP Broadcaster, Mark Davis was reacting to the Texas Rangers loss to the Cards in the 2011 World Series and he said, "No matter what anybody says, the Rangers have now made this a baseball town!" I liked the sound of that and wrote the song one hour after hearing Mark say that. Hope it will become a ballpark classic!

Lyrics

Baseball Town

Welcome to the place where heroes live Bb F
Stand up and give our boys a hand Bb F
Cuz they play America's game Bb F
And they're the best team in the land F C

Hope you brought your A game Bb F
Cuz we'll slap it out the yard Bb F
You better strap that helmet on G
Cuz our pitchers throw it hard Bb C

Welcome to baseball town F C Bb
Where we'll get ya three up three down F C Bb
Better take a good look around F C Bb
Now you're playin in baseball town F C Bb

Welcome to our house, why dontcha come on in
We're glad you came to see our boys
We're gonna light that scoreboard up
And we're gonna make a lot of noise

Get your popcorn ready
Let em hear ya chatter up
Let's get this party on
Cmon blue, batter up

Welcome to baseball town
Where we'll get ya three up three down
Take a good look around
Now you're playin in baseball town

Our bats are hot and our gloves are real strong
And we're gonna bring it all game long (scr singer sang this line wrong...should be "all GAME long")

Welcome to baseball town
Where we'll get ya three up three down
Take a good look around
Now you're playin in baseball town
