The curtain rises, the show begins
and all the actors weave each thread the writer spins
we hang suspended in time and space
while we explore a far off shore or distant place

The curtain rises, the music swells
and we anticipate the tune each note foretells
the players chosen, a grand design
the author knew the end & penned each perfect line

The curtain?s up, the house is still
the world?s a stage of wit and will
with each crescendo, spirits soar
as though we?ve heard these themes a million times before

The curtain rises, lights up, Act II
and in that moment all the world begins anew
As if by magic, life melts away
until reality pretends to end the play,

Shining light, one last night
center stage for your ovation
Standing proud, as you bowed
to the world of your creation,

The curtain closes, the footlights fade
and we are left with what imagination made
we leave inspired to dream anew
and find our own authentic tale of me and you?

The actor?s done, the stage is dark
and we envision you, like Joan of Arc
a blaze of glory, then you?re gone
but we always knew you knew,
the show goes on and on?????The curtain rises.
