Story Behind The Song
One new years eve, an old girlfriend of mine and I were kickin it. We were long over, but my liking for her was not quite over yet... but almost. Not for long though... Nothing happened between us that night, but the show she put on for me will remain a fond memory forever, despite my present dislike for her today... She told me to sit as she put on "my ruca" by sublime, she then walked over to the coffee table in front of me and stood on it. After the dog barking at the beginning of the song finished, the music started, and so did she, with a dazzling sudductive belly dance. About half way through the show, the beast in me started to show pictures of just what I wish her next move at the time would be... you can only imagine. Anyway, nothing like that happened, but when I got home I spent the rest of the night fantisizing about the sight I saw and making music influenced by it. You may notice that the Belly Dancer's bass drum is purposely similar to that of "My Ruca", hey I can't recreate the moment with a different beat you know! Well, Fantasize, the song after The Belly Dancer is just to represent the erotic trance I fell into, so there you have it.
Song Description
Really cool echoy track with tribalish drums, trippy synths, great for making love in red or blue lighting... People I know who have heard it on xtc have dubbed "the best MFing track in the whole MFing world!" But don't take their word for it... They were MFed up. But it's still pretty cool.
