Song Description

Song is about family and a LOVE of a mother giving advise to her son because of what is going on in the world and the cause of Marital Breakups

Story Behind the Song

My Mother was leaving my home after spending a week in NJ and celebrating her 50th year anniversary to my Dad. On the early morning of her departure back to Florida she was pointing her finger at me to advise me to try and save my marriage and "LIFE IS NOT FOR TAKING BUT GIVING ENDLESSLY" her last wordsvto me - as she passed 3 hours later on her way home. Her words are in my song and the words are very catchy!!

Lyrics

Let love Come Between Us (draft 12/16/03) - Country Category
Lyrics O. Quinones

Looking out the window I'm distressed cause what I see
A little boy next door with his bags is waving at me
Waiting for his dad to pick him up for a shopping spree
Since his Dad ain't living home there's little time to build his dreams
The little boy looks at has dad and questions honestly
Why he couldn't be with dad every day like it should be

His Dad was filled with sadness and bent down on one knee
Cause he had to tell his little boy it wasn't to be
That his parents couldn't live together cause love was history

And in the local paper another tragedy
A father lost his job and is living in poverty
His wife struggled hard to keep the family going strong
But the father gave up hope cause he been passed along
He stands on the corner with a Job wanted sign
Knowing deep inside that he stands behind the times

The Wife and Kids seem helpless when they see this man torn down
Knowing in their heart that things are bound to turn around
While counting all her blessings the mother SHOUTS these words out loud!!!
chorus
Let Love Come Between Us, Between Us Lets Love
If We Let Love Between Us, Between Us it will Flow
Let Love Come Between Us, Between Us Lets Love
If We Let Love Between Us, Between Us it will Grow

Lying on her death bed my Mother said to me
That life is not for taking but giving endlessly
I know I old and restless and running out of time
But I want to be remembered so keep this in your mind
These modern times are stressful and hard for you to see
That strength to carry on lies in the love you must concede

So you better run on home and save your family
Cause their depending on you to make them safe and proud
And say these healing words that I've always said out loud!!
Chorus

Lying on her death bed my Mother said to me
That life is not for taking but giving endlessly
I know I old and restless and running out of time
But I want to be remembered so keep this in your mind...
