Story Behind The Song

Well, every person will experience this to some degree. Very often, the hardest thing to understand is the need for action, even if you feel paralyzed and not ready to move on. I wrote this song as an encouragement to myself and my friends. In my case, it made me decide to pick up music again. I hope that this song will encourage people to take responsibility, trust themselves and go in the direction of their true dreams and find their "acres of diamonds".

Song Description

Very often we compromise ourselves in order to do "the right things." The result could be a state of confusion, a felling of just existing and being stuck. The title, Still Water, is a picture of this situation, - like the ponds of water beside the stream. In moments like this we look for other options and to break out of the "false" environment we have created. In this process we have to throw away our old perceptions, look inside ourselves and just go in a new direction. The problem is that when you are in a situation like that, it is really hard to make up your mind on what to do. The intro and chorus are meant to be an encouragement to action. Anything is better than nothing. The content of the lyrics could be perceived as an advice/encouragement from a friend, the real you or God.
