Story Behind The Song
Written on a plane journey as I said a small prayer to keep us safe and then felt a sense of security in the eyes of the air hostess......
Song Description
A not particularly religious man says a prayer on a plane to keep him safe. As he doubts God he then puts his faith in the pilot and in particular the air hostess who he falls for but then come to realise that perhaps everyone is made in the image of God and once again prays as the plane lands.

Lyrics
A hundred miles
above the ground
You put your life
in the hands of god
A god who wont believe you
A god who's not around
A god who does not hear you
As we sail through the clouds
A hundred smiles
as she walks down the aisle
You place your faith
in eyes that seem so real
Eyes that don't deceive you
Eyes that make no sound
Eyes that make your soul cry
As we sail through the clouds
Sending out a message
hope it gets to you.
A message that the air takes
Drifting through the stars to get to you
A thousand lights shine from the town
You say a prayer to guide us down
