Story Behind The Song

I heard my son, Dustin, playing a very catchy guitar piece when he was home from college a couple of years ago. I inquired what he was playing, and said that I really liked it, and asked if he would be interested in recording it with me if I could come up with a complementing guitar part. We then decided to add the middle instrumental section. Dustin wanted to do the song at a fast tempo, but acquiesced to slow it down. The two base guitar parts were recorded in "real' time, start to finish, with the lead parts layered in.

Song Description

This is a cover of Lindsey Buckingham's acoustic version of of Fleetwood Mac's Big Love. This interpretation is less "frantic" than Lindsey Buckingham's version. This version also has an instrumental interlude in which my son and I take turns on lead guitar interpretations, which give this section a different musical texture. We then return to the original musical theme. Therefor, this piece lengthens Buckingham's very short original.
