Story Behind The Song
Moved to Vegas after breaking a long relationship. While enjoying the vegas nightlife, I was approached by several "call girls" which made me laugh. In other words- I might be down about the break-up, but I'm certainly not down enough to think I would have to pay. Kind-of-a self realization/healing profecy. Ha!
Song Description
This track is pretty upbeat. The groove definitely promotes movement when listening. The sarcastic attitude with the lyrics makes the tune.

Lyrics
"Feel The Innocent"
Words and Music by Nick Evans Mowery
Copyright 2004 Nick Evans Mowery
Soul brother, take another sip of your cold scotch
Soul brother your life is amazing to the girls with the pony tails
Take it to the Burgandy Room, the Freemont is so lively at a
-quarter to four
Soul Brother, Soul Brother
An expensive conversation I know
I feel the innocent slippin' away
Soul sista, you need a mister with a pocket of gold coin
Soul sista girl you light up the room with that mug-shot your
-grandmother gave you
Craps shooter gonna try to confuse ya, do you think you can go all
-night
Craps shooter sure enough will abuse you, the innocent slippin'
-away
An amazing contemplation I know
I feel the innocent slippin' away
(Bridge)
I just want to thank you for the night you stayed
(Chorus)
I feel the innocent slippin' away
I feel the innocent slippin' away
(Solo/repeat Chorus)
Let's get together, forget the weather just as long as it don't throw
-rain
I'd like to prove it, so let me do it- the sidewalk's driving me crazy
Take you to the Burgandy Room, the Freemont is so lively at a
-quarter to four
Soul sista, Soul Sista
An expensive conversation I know
I feel the innocent slippin away
(Bridge)
I just want to thank you for the night you stayed
(Chorus)
I feel the innocent slippin' away
I feel the innocent slippin' away
(Repeat Chorus)
