Story Behind The Song

I came up with this piece of music after reading one of the licensing opportunities on Broadjam which requested a song for an auto company's national ad. However, now that it is complete, it's uses and appeal could span a lot greater than this.

Song Description

This song is driven by hard hitting drums and a pulsing bass line, which instantly grabs the attention of the listener and sets an energetic and aggressive tone. This is amplified by the presence of guitar feedback effects. This is soon joined by the introduction of the song's dark core; the sound of a bowed instrument with slow attack and release of the notes, giving the track a moody, calming quality against the harshness of the driving beat. The is further heightened by the lead guitar line which is drenched in fuzz, yet remains tame enough not to dominate the track and render it problematic for any voice-over that it may lucky enough to feature. This all comes to an end after the guitar and bass drop out and the percussive ending brings it all to a halt.
