Story Behind The Song

i began to appreciate dubstep for its opportunity to include sounds that would not be accepted in any other musical genre, or at least not till recently. after heariong the beautiful sad whistful vocals that i chopped and featured in this song i knew that i wanted to go with a song that featured the juxtoposition between beautiful and grittyy. sad yet aggressive. low and high. i give the high end a lot of space to bounce and reflect since i want people to go on a trip when listenning but still remain grounded by the low driving bass line. steady with the vocals bringing us back even when we forget shes there.

Song Description

when i first heard the vocal sample featured in the first few seconds of the song i knew i had a sound that i wanted to develope from that starting point. i taught myself how to chop vocals in the style o many electronica artists whom ive admired over the years. after that i worked on a simple drum beat to keep the pace steady so that the musical patterns would set the mood and catch the attention more. the grind bass is a sound i developed from scratch to sound like the dirty gear grinding bass lines i tend to enjoy. and the low end is new to me since i am new and exploring in sounds of dubstep. the higher end sounds are all variations in sounds i found and altered and kept in the same melodies as the bass line. i layered them in a way that hopefully the track gets very involved and a little intense but not too busy which can be a pitfall i feel when some artists try to do so much.
