Story Behind The Song
After writing a song about dwelling on the past, I needed to write one about searching inside myself for answers. This song was meant to be even more dreary than "The Way Things Used To Be", as my experience has been that when I'm at my lowest, that's when I search inside myself for answers.
Song Description
This song is about the search for something inside of one's self that may alleviate personal problems.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Everything in my life nowadays is making me insane, who?s to blame
Every prayer is said in vain, darkness is calling my name
Every day is colder and gray, I?ve gone astray from the right way
Finding my mind in a grasp, in a bind, will I last, am I blind, at last, will I find
That inner peace
Chorus1:
Everything is crashing down, at my feet from all around, my sanity has hit the ground
Hoping for the pain to cease, looking for a stress release, the world?s got me on my knees
Praying for that inner peace
Verse 2:
Lying in my bed at night, room lit up by the cool moonlight
On the losing end of a morality fight, I wish someone could hear my plight
I don?t know how low I might go, I?ve been overcome with sorrow
Feeling the pain of a past like a rain, ever vast, one day, will I have, will I gain
That inner peace
Chorus 2:
Everything is crashing down, at my feet from all around, my sanity has hit the ground
Hoping for the pain to cease, looking for a stress release, the world?s got me on my knees
Searching for that inner peace
Verse 3:
My hopes and dreams are fading out, making room for the fear and doubt
Not sure what my life?s about, these feelings I could do without
I can?t see what?s in it for me, I can never be truly free
Where can I go, what can I do, to let go
To make it through, to have hope, to live anew, so I can know
That inner peace
Chorus 3:
Everything is crashing down, at my feet from all around, my sanity has hit the ground
Hoping for the pain to cease, looking for a stress release, the world?s got me on my knees
Calling for that inner peace
