Story Behind The Song
I was approaching college graduation, the start of my recording business, and a host of other stressful things. I needed just ONE DAY to take a break from it all. Sadly, even with the existence of holidays and others of these "days off" from life, the perfect day is , to me, a myth...There is no truly "perfect day" that can erase one's troubles, because if there were, the next day would present more problems, however small......Therefore, the mood of this song has a hint of failure to find that "one day".
Song Description

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Every day I look inside myself, and I don?t find the answers to my needs
Looking for a cure for my tired health, the stresses in my life are the cause it seems
I could take a walk into my fantasies, I could take a breath and dive into the sea
I could never hope to find serenity, for just one day if I could get away
I could be free
Chorus:
It?s just one day, it?s got to be enough to get away
I know I?ll lose my mind if I stay
Verse 2:
I remember times when I had the future planned
And I had my fate in my own hand
Everybody says that I?m a changed man
It?s the weight of the world that?s made me who I am
I would take a walk into my fantasies
I would put the past in back of me
I would go as far as my mind could see
For just one day, if I could get away
I could be free
(Chorus)
Verse 3:
Sometimes my dreams are more than a vision in my mind
And I hope that I?m not left forever blind
Sometimes I feel that I?ve been left behind
I hope some comfort I will find
I could take a walk into my fantasies
I could take a breath and get down on my knees
I could pray for help, be begging please
For just one day, if I could get away
I could be free
(Chorus)
