Story Behind The Song
i wrote this song when i couldn't walk. it was one of the first that i wrote. i knew it had potential to be something great. i wrote it in late 2003, and i didn't get to record it till early 2006. so i waited a while to hear what it's supposed to sound like. and i was happy with the way it came out.
Song Description
i know my voice sucks, so please critique the song writing and the melody more so than my actual performance. my goal is to write songs for other people, not so much perform them, but i can do both (working on vocals everyday). it's about standing up for yourself.

Lyrics
bruised and broken, maimed, defeated, once again. take your luck, push it deeper into my skin. hold nothing back, tear apart everything. as we seek revengence, we will find repentence. hey, nothing's as it seems. now's the best time to look and see. so look outside your broken window and look into (unto) the gaping holes (blood-stained lands), it's time to face this mass destruction or make your way back home (do you think you can take your stand?). some tried, some came, somtimes in vain. and those who came put their feelings on the line. that can be so much worse than dying. it's time to take your chances, no second glances. so sad, so sad. so sentimental, desperately you try to redeem your feelings. so sad, so sad. turn your hands down, walk away. give in, make way for those who walk with ice inside their veins. so sad, stand up, stand. take your stand.
