Travel On

Story Behind The Song

I wanted to write a song about how it felt about moving on from one part of my life to another. After years of being redundant in activities and thoughts, there was a peace that came over me when I fell in love and got married, ready to travel on to a different place in life.

Lyrics

I been here once to many times
I know the song I know the lines
but I still try to travel down the road I know will end

Too far along to turn back anything
but I saw a place that could change everything

I traveled on
traveled on

I felt it all slip through my hands
I had a grip I had a plan
It all fell through
It all slipped through the crack
the demons come they stay with me
and now I walk on tired feet
but if I run fast enough, will they follow me

Too far along to turn back anything
but I saw a place that could change everything
Too far along to turn back anything
but I saw a place that could change everything

I traveled on
(traveled on)
I traveled on
(traveled on)

Too far along to turn back anything
but I saw a place that could change everything
Too far along to turn back anything
but I saw a place that could change everything

I traveled on
(traveled on)
I traveled on
(traveled on)
