Lyrics

ME AND MINE
(Words and Music by Michael W. Avery)

Sometimes there's sunshine, sometimes there's rain
Sometimes you stare in the eye of a hurricane
Me and Mine are just moving on down the line

You can go by boat, you can go by plane
You don't need no limousine to drive yourself insane
Me and Mine are just moving on down the line

You can be princess or a beauty queen
You can catch that Greyhound bus from Memphis down to Bowling Green
Me and Mine are just moving on down the line

You know I'm no angel
Can't lose where I've been
If sins were dollars they stack up top my chin

There's changes in the weather, there's changes in you
Those dark clouds rolling in sure obstruct the view
Me and Mine are just moving on down the line

You know I'm no angel
Can't lose where I've been
If sins were dollars they stack up top my chin

Good lyrics, fine vocal performance. The slide playing doesn't stand out, but works just fine. (Could use a little grit in my opinion). This is a fine song, and one that captures a good southern blues vibe.
