Song Description
I wrote this song for my daughter for her 16th birthday. My 16 yr old daughter and I had a ruff relationship. I was always running around with my band and gigs. I was never around for her first 8 years of her life. I spent the next 8 trying to make it up.

Lyrics
I love You
--------
I can't believe you're now sixteen years old
It's gone by quickly and we're getting old
And somehow I just feel that I could've been
A much better Daddy to you then I think I've been
- Then I pressed play - On some old VHS today -
There I saw the way on every Christmas day
You wanted to wait, Daddy was up real late.
Momma told you lies, but after awhile
You knew why - I want to apologize !
And those years just flew by with a blink of my eye
Can you help me keep them open to you for the rest of my life
- I promise I'll support you - In whatever it is you do -
Cause baby you were the first child with my wife
You and momma both probably saved my life
- And I'll always love you - Any problems we'll get through -
And I know today, just like yesterday
We don't communicate, there's got to be something to say
Whether HELLO or whether GOODBYE
Could we say I love you, could we give it a try ---
-- I LOVE YOU --
