Written after a very good friend of mine was laid off - he was only a few years from retirement and it struck me as so patently unfair and that emotion just grew into a feeling of sadness and anger about how little the world really cares for people - and hoping that people would care more in a true Christian sense - and knowing that we can be Closer to God.
