Story Behind The Song

Only an Angel was inspired when producer Ed Bennett went to see a movie at the Tribecca Film Festival, Holly. He was horrified by the nature of this multi-billion dollar industry. He gave three of his favorite singers an opportunity to write lyrics and a melody to the music. May Ling, upon hearing about the project, was immediately inspired. She went on-line and read story after story about how horrendous and pervasive this situation is in the world. 2 million children are born into prostitution with little hope of being rehabilitated toward normal lives. Few make it to adulthood free of serious sexual transmitted disease. The emotional scars these children must bare at a young are unimaginable by most.. Our greatest hope in writing this song is to bring awareness and inspire action to end this practice.

This song is from the point of view of the child in the song. It is a cry for awareness of this industry and a prayer that the world will find a way to stop this practice and rescue the some 2 million children that are affected by its horrors.
