Story Behind The Song
Had a fight with my wife over Christmas and words were said. It occured to me that words do get said we don't mean and sometimes, out of love, it's better to give up on the fight because so many marital fights are so often about silly little things.

Lyrics
Verse:
You lean in the doorway. I?m slouched on the bed.
You turn to make your point. I cut you off instead.
Ok, never mind. Let?s get divorced.
You smile, ?Yes, of course. You?d bring up divorce!?
Chorus:
You?re right! You?re right! You?re right!
I don?t want to fight.
I just want to make up and love tonight.
Verse:
Then uncomfortable silence strangles the room.
Disgruntled lifelong bride, midlife crisis groom.
Communicate. That?s what the experts say.
So, I bite your head off and you simply walk away!
Repeat Chorus
Bridge:
Alone on your grandmother?s back porch
Very young hearts, quite a warm torch
She teases, ?Are you making love out here?!?
You blush. I grin. What was that year?
Verse:
Just an awful hour of night, oh, what do we do?
Your tears, the lump in my throat, the stuff we put ourselves through
And you?ll never change and I can?t. I?ve tried.
You smile, ?I?ll stay frustrated and you never satisfied!?
Repeat Chorus
