Story Behind The Song
I wrote this back in 2000 when this Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson influenced singer came through my studio for a few months.
This is one of several songs that were recorded with him that have never been off the shelf.
I always thought this had alot of things going for it. I like the production demo 'ideas' that were put into this. Done on a K2000 with that acoustic gtr patch I loved at the time.
I think the music is stronger than the lyrics and I really like the title. It's a good premise and lyrically speaking my favorite line is

YOU'VE GOT ME INSTEAD
Writing the lyrics with this younger guy, he told me what the roll was....A club term for ecstasy?
Anyway...I always really liked this demo and am happy to finally put it out there! Hope you hear what I hear.

lets her know his "energy' is a little freaky
but if she let's him into her night he'll
'designate this ride' It's FREAKY but she'll like it. He is very certain of himself.
