Story Behind The Song
My dad is the last of his siblings and all the cousins
and from my dads
brothers and Sisters never met uncle Thom. But we heard lots about him, and have seen lots of photos of him, many in his airforce Jacket and hat. The photos showed a Sparkle in His Eyes. And he had sent many letters to his brothers (My Dad) and sister as well his Mom and Dad. Before the reuion I watch my Sister and niece reading the letters and they started crying. Every year at rememberence time my Dad and Mom get in a state that is hard to describe, but it is a rememberence state to say the least. The words and idea to write the song for the family reunion came to me, but I ran out of time to finish the song for the reunion, but was able to finish it for Rememberence day. My Dad and Mom and brother and Sister and niece are pleased with the song. I am intending to send the song and words to our extended family and friends as a late family reunion present.
