Lyrics

Don't Stop Drawing Me

Sat on the bedside and I watched you sleep
Fought back the tears and held your hand
Soon I'll be gone but you're too young to know
Some things in life don't go as planned
And as you dream away your innocence
And wake up to a world unknown
Keep drawing pictures with Daddy there
I'll never leave you though I'm gone

Chorus
Don't stop drawing me
Holding your hand under our tree
Always there by your side
Don't stop drawing me
Holding your hand and you will see
I'll be there all your life

I know you're strong though it might not show
You're going to have to be at times
This new life you'll have to comprehend
Within the boundaries of your little mind
And please don't doubt what I feel for you
I promise you will be alright
Just draw your life the way you always did
It's not goodbye only goodnight

Repeat Chorus

For every bedtime without a kiss
Or the tears I can't wipe from your eyes
For every single smile I'll miss
I'll make it up to you, I'll make it up to you cross my heart and hope to die

Repeat Chorus
Don't stop drawing me
Holding your hand under our tree
Always there by your side
Don't stop loving me
I'm always in you you're always in me for the rest of your life

Spoken:
"I love you Daddy, I love you too baby, cross your heart and hope to die, cross my heart and hope to die, look at this picture I made Daddy, that's beautiful honey, are you always going to be there Daddy, I'm always going to be there, forever and ever Daddy, forever and ever, goodnight Daddy I love you, goodnight sweet dreams baby, I'll always love you Daddy, I'll always love you too"

lyrics were very good. never would have thought it was a child you were talking about. reminds me of a song Bobby Sherman sang years ago me and God watching Scotty grow.

I like the lead vocals and the rhythm guitar.

Touching lyrics from a parent to a child. Great opening - "Sat on the bedside and I watched you sleep - Fought back the tears and held your hand". Very nice arrangement and instrumentation. And a surprise at the end - the voice of a child.

Nice arrangement and recording.

Nice song, emotional track. Nice surprise at the end . . . with the baby
