Story Behind The Song
I wrote this while I was thinking about driving back to my home in Las Vegas on a Saturday. The beautiful mountains and the serenity of silence brings on memories of my past love. In a calm manner I watch her walk out the door. I am helpless. I know that I cannot do anything about her leaving and I accept that she's gone from my life forever. I sit on the floor and look through pictures of our past together and think that she might some day come back.
Song Description
This song was spur of the moment and stream-of-consciousness. This song is the epitome of how I write. I write one part, then build from it. The vocals in this song are heartfelt and bring out a lot of emotion in me. The outro acoustic vocal riff is kind of a curve ball, but it fits nicely.

Lyrics
(verse 1)
I shouldn't be behind the wheel.
I know it takes a little time to get over it, but I'll be fine.
I say so, that I want it so badly.
I say so, I want it so bad.
(Chorus)
I'll get over the stories, distorted memories. I'll sit on the floor.
I know you'll eventually come to your senses. You know you want more.
I'll get over the stories, distorted memories. I'll sit on the floor.
Don't hold back, stay here in my arms. Honey, don't walk out that door.
(verse 2)
I knew you wouldn't feel the same. Girl, I can't be any different than I was yesterday. You can always find me if you want to. If you look at your reflection, you'll see mine replace yours. We are one, only the years have made us two
(chorus X 2)
(outro acoustic/vocal)
Always when I'm most vulnerable, you kick me when I'm down.
