Story Behind The Song

"Home" brings to mind the idea of home and what it means to people. The song asks what is important and offers it's own answer. It has some folk undertones. We feel "Home" is a great fit for coming of age stories, moments of decision, and homecomings.

Song Description

"Home" is about self discovery and an exploration into what home means- to many people at least. Home, for better or worse, is often a large part of the fabric that makes up who and what we are. We tend to build "our histories" in various places and with various people, however, we came from somewhere and that fact is unchanging. No matter what and where home is, it's the one place where life is almost easy. Not perfect. But almost easy. And relative to how the rest of life can be- that's a nice thing. "In the end, it's not where you've been or what you've got or who you know- it's who's hanging around when you get home." That's a very literal lyric. And when you talk to people who are in the midst of "the end" it is a prevailing notion. Home is a happy song. It celebrates the realization of the importance of home. That said, it's a down-mid-tempo song.
