Story Behind The Song

This song was written from the viewpoint of a little girl that was living next to me in a block of units. Nightly I would hear her parents having violent screaming matches till the early hours of the morning. I often would hear the little girl crying upstairs through the walls. Unfortunately the little girl did not escape the abuse as often after the parents had finished fighting the mother especially would take her frustration out on the little girl. It was horrible and to think how many little children are in a similar situation, very sad!!

Song Description

Screaming Walls is a song centered around Domestic violence and Child Abuse. The song is taken from the perspective of a little girl that is constantly confronted with disturbing levels of disharmony in the home. The little girl feels helpless and scared and being so young does not have anyone to turn to but hopes that someone up above or even next door is listening.
