Sunday List of Dreams -country mix

Story Behind The Song

This year I joined millions of people worldwide in making my New Years Resolutions. So far I have walked in the direction of my goals without being perfect every day. Some of my friends have given up the moment they ?fail?. I just keep getting up and starting over. This reminds me of Connie from Kris Radish?s newest book The Sunday List of Dreams. Connie is about to retire and realizes that she has spent years writing her list of dreams without ever getting up off the couch and living any of them. She dedicates herself to following her dreams and the rest of the book shows you how those dreams unfold. Linda Smith has released a cd called the Sunday List of Dreams based on this commitment to living out your dreams. She has captured the sense of excitement and the enthusiasm one has when embarking on such an adventure.

Lyrics

Sunday List of Dreams
Verse 1

This is about the 48th time

I?ve written this list of dreams of mine

Sometimes I wonder if I?ll ever start

Or if I?ll just keep writing

From the safety of my couch

Can I find the courage

To just let go

Chorus

I?m gonna live my list of dreams

I?m never gonna doubt myself again

I?m gonna do something bout this

Life of mine

I?m gonna live my list of dreams

Verse 2
I?m gonna wake up tomorrow
And buy a fancy dress
And I?ll do something with my hair

Then I?ll buy some really good wine
And drink it before noon
I?m gonna break all the rules

I?m gonna dance with a handsome man
Who doesn?t care if I have a double chin
And I?ll imagine what it?s like
To fall in love again

I?ll tell the people that I love I love them
And share some moments that are real and open
And I?ll accept the choices that they?ve made

Verse 3
I?m gonna stop setting my alarm clock
And be my own boss for a change
Maybe I?ll indulge myself
And buy a red or blue convertable
Next time you see me
It?s New York City
