Song Description
Plays with the three meanings of the word "wasted" (not used to full potential, drunk, and worn-out emotionally). I find the word "wasted" slips back into everybody's vocabulary for a few weeks after they hear this one - what great free advertising! A friend who is a DJ at KISL out of Catalina played this one on the air directly off the demo. Great opportunity for improvising over girl singers singing "Wasted". Although it talks about a love triangle, the singer wins in the end (our original fade was longer than this recording, but last paragraph of lyrics shows that she gets him in the end!)

Lyrics
I can see you smiling, Baby, I say, "yes" and you say, "maybe",
then you take her hand and I am wasted.
If you want to leave with her, then you get just what you deserve and we both know how much you will be wasted.
And I'm in a state of mind that's hard to define.
That's when I wish I was wasted, wanting you all the time.
WASTED. WASTED.
SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S GOT,
BUT I DO.
WASTED. WASTED.
I'LL NEVER BE THE ONE
TO WASTE YOU.
Put your arms around me, Baby, and we'll dance till we go crazy.
We both know the night will not be wasted.
If you see me melting, Baby, you said, "yes", and I said, "take me".
Now I know the meaning of wasted.
And I'm in a state of mind, that's hard to define.
But I sure know I am wasted: all of you blows my mind.
WASTED. WASTED.
SHE DOESN'T WANT ALL YOU'VE GOT,
BUT I DO.
WASTED. WASTED.
I WANNA BE THE ONE
TO WASTE YOU.
WASTED. WASTED.
SHE HASN'T GOT WHAT SHE THINKS,
BUT I DO.
WASTED. WASTED.
I'M GONNA BE THE ONE
TO WASTE YOU.
