Story Behind The Song
I was going to my girlfriends mom's house on Christmas day. As we went up to her flat the police suddenly appeared from no where and gun shots started ringing out. We were told to get inside and not come out. We went up onto the roof and saw police in a seige with a man shooting out of a window. We were trapped in that flat for two days. After a week or two when I almost forgot about the whole thing this song came to me.
Song Description
This song is about how hard it is to live in a major city like London and how upsetting all the violence and madness can be and how seeing it can make you want to run a million miles from your dreams and ambitions.

Lyrics
Sure there's regrets from past times,
But when I get time to think,
You know I hope more.
Should see me sometimes on quiet nights,
Hiding from cars and cold headlights.
You see I was born somewhere else and I'm high on fortune.
The shutters open and he cold air clenses my soul.
Look down, across the city a seige down below,
Police cars all around,
Chasing a loan gunman
I'm high up on this building and I don't know whats' goiing on.
I read in the newspapers tommorrow,
City living how long will last.
I decide how long I'll stay but,
Sometimes I get scared it will take me next.
When everybody could be somebody else,
When I see you will you feel the same too?
Winter under the covers,
Late night television calling my soul.
It's time to get away
Catch a little smile.
Hold for a while
It's time to get away
