Story Behind The Song
Ty gave me the music and I heard this incredible blues sound. The title, Down on My Knees, came to me when relating to the lowest point in my life...when you're barely standing up and have been knocked way down. It's that cry for help, somebody help. There is a cross-over version prior to the gospel/blues version. The gospel version describes a changed person, driven to their knees from pride and pain. The Grace comes when they start listening to God, start practicing a new way of living.
