Lyrics
Emily?s Song
Heart breaking it is to see,
the pain in my daughter?s eyes.
Emily is twenty three
and has never left his side.
Her lover is within arms reach
yet he cannot hold her tight,
He cannot kiss her lips to soft,
nor see her eyes so bright.
One morning she took her long dark hair,
and placed in his hands,
And as she gently pulled it through
this is what was said,
Look Angle Boy this is my hair,
feel it, feel how soft
You love to play with my hair,
Oh without you I am lost.
And when her touch failed to stir
her lover from his fate,
A steady flow of silent tears
covered Emily?s face.
Chorus
She longs to see the man he was
and dreams of his embrace
She wants to look into his eyes
and have him see her face.
She wants to look into his eyes
and have him see her face.
