Story Behind The Song

This began as a simple recording of a piano melody. I recorded it and gave it to my friend, who added all the other electronic elements. When I listened to it again it its new incarnation, I cried all night. It is all things for me: sadness, beauty, clarity, and true love.

This piece is a beautiful heartbreak, like an orange breaking dawn that spills over a smooth landscape, sending tears down my cheeks with its constant message. It is minimalist with elements of glitch, and a melancholic piano melody repeats throughout, building with soft electronic pulses that rise and grow steadily, like the gentle and firm hand of a lover leading you through a land that suddenly seems beautiful and perfect, though you still remember pain and sadness. But you keep walking, because the light is a promise of something new.
