I was off at school, missing friends and family. Though I was in the middle of St Paul (my apartment), it was deadly quiet. There was suddenly this peace that came over me and I knew that eventually I would not feel so alone anymore. Originally it was written as an acoustic guitar song, but thought it would be a nice jazz ballad.
