Story Behind The Song
16th September, 2004. After being unemployed for nearly four months, today I learnt I finally got a new job. So this song is about optimism, about turning a corner, about light at the end of the tunnel, and about having belief and faith in yourself to see hard times through.
The pitch bent brass line was inspired by a synth solo I heard about 22 years ago, performed by Michael Omartian.
All the sounds for this song care from Sonik Synth 2, except for the drums which are from the SR Studio Drums Capsule.
Song Description
This is a gentle song, which tries to convey a positive, optimistic feel and one of elation after a long hiatus and difficult time. Nice electric piano sets up a unique sounding "bent" brass pad with soft drums and bass to guide this along.
