Story Behind The Song
The natives were restless on 0ne fine May Morning in Baghdad; about 10 AM we were hit with 7 motars. They destroyed 3 vehicles and hit 2 offices/3 living trailers. Luckly; not one was hurt/killed. We are not always so lucky here in the "War Zone". I wrote "Life Is A Priviledge" to express my gratitude for each day of life.

There's a higher purpose for being here.
Why live in the past, it's too far gone?
Live from the heart, where love beats strong.
Why live in the future, it's not yet here?
Listen to voices within, a soul speaks clear.
We're here today, tomorrow's no guarantee,
Present moments grant us permission to be free.
Life's not perfect, yet filled with such beauty,
Why seek perfection, missing life's mystery.
Life is a privilege we can learn to share,
There's a higher purpose for being here.
Release useless blame lose limiting hate,
Our time is so short, your fate you create.
A life not cherished will be taken away,
