Story Behind The Song

The lyrics are based on my own experience with my wife. We had had an argument and she said she had had enough and was leaving. I told her not to tell me she was leaving because I was still in love with her. I told her I could be the man she fell in love with. I wrote this song the next day. We are are still married.
