Lyrics

More Than Friends by Bruce Taylor and Keith Taylor

We've been friends a long time
A lifetime or so it seems
We've been through some hard times girl
We know what friendship means

Suddenly something's starting to happen
Making my world start to spin
Making me want to be a little bit more than your friend

I want to be the one you turn to
To make things turn out right
I want to be the one who holds you
Forever every night

I want to be the one who starts us
Starting all over again
And making us into a little bit more that just friends

Not sure of the reason
It's hard to see some signs
I find myself believing girl
That love sometimes needs time

Cause all of a sudden
I feel myself falling
To someplace that I've never been
Making me want to be a little bit more than your friend

I want to be the one you turn to
To make things turn out right
I want to be the one who holds you
Forever every night

I want to be the one who starts us
Starting all over again
And making us into a little bit more that just friends

If love is true it lasts forever
And never ever ends
Looks like for sure
We're a little bit more than just friends

I want to be the one you turn to
To make things turn out right
I want to be the one who holds you
Forever in my life

I want to be the one who starts us
Starting all over again
And making us into a little bit more that just friends

Oooo More than friends

What a sweet love song! I really liked it! The song tells a story of a relationship that grows from friendship to lovers, told in a totally understandable, winsome way. Song structure is pretty much perfect with a nice bridge to tie everything together towards the end. Favorite lyric: Forever every night. Nice! Great chorus! I think that this song has commercial potential, but setting that aside, it's just a really good love song and I totally wish you every success with it. Thank you for a recording/vocal performance that ensures that every word is understandable in your song. So many are hard to figure out. Not your composition!

Sounds very Gunsmoke to me. Im older but still feelin great about life like they did back then!
Sounds like early Humperdick music from 60's or earlier.

I do like the chorus, well defined and reinforces the "I want to be the one..." line. So, I know I'll remember after the tune ends. Like the voices on the chorus, well done. Reminds me of some good pop records--the voices on the "Wanna be the one.." line.

Nice harmonies, pleasant lead vocals. I like the bridge, nice keyboards. The production is solid.

enjoyable country tune. good balance on production. always nice to hear the lyrics.

Kind of reminds me of some old Righteous Brother, nice. Nice vocal chops.

Dated a bit...would've been a hit when Michael McDonald was a hot property. Really would fit in that era...in fact, wouldn't be surprised if this was recorded in the 80's...sounds pretty analog to me. Singer is convincing and sound sincere...not just reading the lyrics...the hook stays with...

This was a very nice country song, it had a very nice groove to it.

I liked how this song sounded. It was very easy to listen to. The instrumentation, vocals, and production were all good. The song had an "old Country" kind of feel too it, which was actually refreshing to listen to. I enjoyed it. It told a story, which is what Country music is all about.

Every woman would love to hear this song.I think with the right vocal it would have a lot of potential.

Nice melody. Good lyrics. Well-performed instrumentation. Good recording.

Nice song with a nice feel. Nice chord towards the end on the word friend.
