Mixolydian Crickets

Story Behind The Song

Sleeping to the sound of crickets and katydids on hot summer nights is a wonderful thing. One night I recorded them with my trusty Fostex X-15 4-track recorder (state-of-the-art in its day! :). Later, the synth parts were recorded from my old Casio CZ.

Song Description

A sort of electro-acoustic piece with crickets and suburban ambient noise - most notably an air-conditioning unit! But if you listen closely enough you'll also hear a jet flying overhead.
