Story Behind The Song
Inspired by experience and involvement with Native American Spirituality and community.
Song Description
I chose the Lakota language for the prayer in the intro, following the swirling Wind Wand. I used a hammered dulcimer as an "organic sequencer" to create movement. This piece contains numerous percussion instruments, making it very multi-rhythmic. Lance Krier adds Native American Flute in the middle sections. The Wind Wand starts and ends the song, representing the circular movement of energy found in the 24 stones of the Medicine Wheel.
